FAQ

According to the CVSS metric, the attack complexity is high (AC:H). What does that mean for this vulnerability? Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires an attacker to prepare the target environment to improve exploit reliability. According to the CVSS metric, a successful exploitation could lead to a scope change (S:C). What does this mean for this vulnerability? An exploited vulnerability can affect resources beyond the security scope managed by the security authority of the vulnerable component. In this case, the vulnerable component and the impacted component are different and managed by different security authorities. According to the CVSS metric, the attack complexity is high (AC:H). What does this mean for this vulnerability? An attacker would need specific conditions to be in place (i.e. particular protocol settings, or configurations, etc.) before an attack could succeed, which reduces the likelihood of widespread or opportunistic exploitation. What privileges could be gained by an attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability? An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could obtain and reuse another user's Azure Key Vault access token, allowing unauthorized access to read, modify, or delete secrets and perform cryptographic operations in that user's Key Vault. No user interaction is required.
